Pick Quick Negotiations Update
First off, we would like to extend our thanks for your patience and understanding throughout this slow and drawn out process. As you know, these negotiations have been unusually difficult.
The lack of information and movement during contract negotiations has increased the spread of misinformation in certain stores. This makes the slow process even worse. As always we encourage you to keep in contact with your Union Representatives via phone, email and of course when you see them in your stores.
The last contract negotiating session took place on Friday, June, 24, 2016. As we mentioned in our last update both sides are still far apart. Many of the open issues that still need to be resolved are significant parts to securing a fair and good contract you'll be proud of. The goal of your negotiating committee hasn’t changed and will not change no matter how long this process takes.
There has been no movement since then due to scheduling conflicts. We are still working to secure a date that works for both sides to resume negotiations. As of today a new date has not yet been scheduled. You will be informed as soon as we secure a new date.
It's your continued daily support of us on the negotiating committee that gives us the strength to continue this effort until we can reach a fair agreement.
Stay strong, and united for a fair contract.
We will continue to keep you posted as soon as any new dates are scheduled, any news breaks or if anything changes.

—PICK QUICK CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS UPDATE —
The last contract negotiating session took place on Friday, June, 24, 2016. Although there was some minor progress made there is still a lot of work to be done. Many of the open issues that still need to be resolved are significant and both sides are very far apart. The goal of your negotiating committee hasn’t changed and will not change no matter how long this process takes. Helping our fellow members achieve the best possible contract is why we volunteered and why you elected us to serve on this committee.
Unfortunately the negotiating session scheduled for June 30th, 2016 was postponed due to scheduling conflicts. We are still trying to find a date that works for both sides to resume negotiations but as of now a new date has not yet been scheduled. We will let you know as soon as that changes.
We would like to extend our thanks for your patience and understanding throughout this process. It has been unusually difficult so far and the misinformation in certain stores has made it even worse. As always we encourage you to keep in contact with your Union Representatives via phone, email and of course when you see them in your stores.

Summer Blood Drive Aids NY Blood Shortage Crisis
First
off, I'm writing to extend a thank you from the bottom of my heart for
donating blood yesterday. Because of your help over 300 New Yorkers will
be able receive the gift of life and we have helped aid the New York
summer blood shortage crisis.
Secondly, I want to apologize if you experienced any long delays throughout the registration process. There are no excuses for the extended wait times and I have personally reached out to the New York Blood Center to ensure our next drive will run smoother, faster and much more efficient.
I cannot say it enough, but thank you to those who had to wait an extended time to donate. Most of you could have easily left, but chose to stay. I deeply appreciate your charitable spirit.
We had tremendous success at yesterday's Blood Drive, even through the NY Blood Center staff shortages we collected over 100 pints of Blood.
I look forward to seeing you at our next Blood Drive or Union event, and please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions!

New York Blood Center Says Summer Blood Emergency Continues
NYBC urges public to take action and donate life-saving blood during the summer blood shortage to come forward
The New York Blood Center (NYBC) is still in the midst of a declared blood emergency and is asking the public to help replenish the blood supply by donating all blood types or by hosting a blood drive in their community. NYBC’s inventory is currently at critically low levels. It is the responsibility of all New Yorkers to donate and help keep the community’s summer blood supply in tact – NYBC must be prepared with an adequate supply to withstand any type of emergency. We're hosting a Summer BBQ & Blood Drive to help the NYBC on July 12th from 2-8PM. Reserve your timeslot today by clicking here or contacting your Union Rep.
