Wednesday Morning One Liners: ALDI,

Aldi is taking New York City by storm:

Your Nabe: ALDI & Community get ready for new supermarket. [Bronx]  They signed a lease at the end of October to open a 20,000 square foot location at the shopping center that once was home to an A&P, and Waldbaums, and later a Circuit City, at 1700-1800 E. Gun Hill Road.

Not only do they plan on a major expansion throughout the U.S., but Aldi is planning on opening 100 new stores per year.

A group in Newark [N.J.] is seeking Grocers for their Food Deserts...Among the potential Grocers, Aldi & ShopRite.

West Hartford is welcoming their second Stop & Shop.  More @ Patch.

The Supreme Court is now looking whether to keep the largest sex discrimination lawsuit in United States history alive. Involving who? You guessed it, Wal-Mart.
