BANKRUPTCY DEVELOPMENTS

Message to UFCW Members
Representatives of the UFCW International
and UFCW Local Unions met today with representatives of the Company to discuss
critical issues in the bankruptcy.
We were not able to reach agreement on the
Company’s proposal for immediate modifications to the CBAs. That proposal included the elimination of all
bumping provisions.
We
expect a filing soon by the Company seeking emergency modifications of CBAs
under Section 1113(e) of the Bankruptcy Code. We will update you as soon as we
have more information
