Our union actively fights to better New York's communities. Each October (Breast Cancer Awareness Month) we sponsor the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk at Jones Beach. The walk is a great day that brings survivors, patients and anyone who has been affected by Beast Cancer, together in solidarity for one common goal, fight to end Breast Cancer.
As a union made up of a majority of women, it's crucial we make Breast Cancer awareness a priority. Each year we do an amazing job holding fundraisers at our stores, raising funds for the walk and in effect, raising Breast Cancer awareness.
